Ratajkowski had her firstborn son with her ex-husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard. They were married from February 2018 to July 2022. Bear-McClard is an actor and producer known for his work in the 2019 film Uncut Gems and the 2017 film Good Time.
Because Bear-McClard works in the entertainment industry, he and Ratajkowski shared the same circle of friends before they started dating in 2018. After only dating for a few weeks, the model and producer got married in a surprise ceremony that year.

During a conversation with Elle, Ratajkowski During a conversation with Elle magazine, Ratajkowski candidly discussed her birthing experience. She said she trusted her body in the moment. She referenced an excerpt from her published book of personal essays called My Body. “It wasn’t until I was rereading the whole book that I realized there is an essay at the beginning about not being able to say no. Then in the hospital, I say no. My body responds to me saying no, and I give birth to my son,” she continues.
“Writing these essays allowed me to get to a place where I could be in that room and be connected enough to my body to be able to say, ‘No, we are not going to use the vacuum.’ Then my body was like, ‘She just said no. We’re going to deliver this baby,” she added.
Sylvester Apollo Bear Birth Was ‘The Most Surreal’ Morning Of Emily’s Life
When Sly was born on March 8, the new mother said on Instagram that it was “the most surreal, beautiful, and love-filled morning of my life.” She shared this heartfelt message along with a photo of herself holding her newborn.
After her baby arrived, Ratajkowski shared personal glimpses of his birth. This included a montage of raw photos taken “between pushes” while she was in labor.

After Sly was born, Ratajkowski posted many photos of her newborn. His face was blocked from the camera in the photos. It wasn’t until six months after she gave birth that she showed off her “angel’s” little face in her Instagram Story.
