Jacob Elordi found a way to handle the drastic height difference with his costar, Cailee Spaeny. Elordi, who is six-foot-five, plays Elvis Presley in Priscilla. His costar, Spaeny, is five-foot-one. The 26-year-old Euphoria alum joked to W Magazine about finding ways to lean while sharing scenes with Spaeny, 25.
“I’m excellent at finding ways to lean. It’s a skill I’ve perfected throughout my career,” Elordi said. “I’m always leaning.”
Elordi told Men’s Health in 2021 that he was relieved when a modeling career didn’t work out. He was deemed too tall for sample sizes at 15 years old. “I’m very grateful. I truly think I would’ve been miserable if I had to do that,” said Elordi, who also stars in Saltburn’s upcoming film.
He added that he’s often paired with much shorter costars. “The trick is they always cast me with girls who are five-foot-two. Everyone’s like, ‘You’re so big!’ Yeah, but they’re also not big, not even average-sized women. They’re quite small.”

Priscilla director Sofia Coppola told W that her friend and frequent collaborator Kirsten Dunst recommended Spaeny for the project. The film is based on Priscilla Presley’s memoir. “Kirsten is like a sister to me; when she recommended Cailee, I paid attention,” said Coppola, 52.
Spaeny recalled Coppola offering her the role during a breakfast meeting. “Sofia pulled out her iPad and showed me some photos of Priscilla. She said, ‘I think you could do it!’ I felt like Kirsten had passed the torch to me.”
Spaeny added, “I’ve had an obsession with Sofia since The Virgin Suicides. That movie rocked me in a way I had never felt before.” Spaeny won best actress at the Venice International Film Festival earlier this year.
